Clan Crest Gifts

It was the custom for Clan Chiefs to give their followers a metal plate of their crest, to be worn as a badge of allegiance which fastened to their clothing with a strap and buckle. When not in use the belt was coiled around the crest and this covention is used in the clan crest badges of today. Only a Clan Chief may wear the crest without the strap and buckle.

Clan Crest Badge Each Badge is hand wrought in old fashioned Pewter and plated with palladium to give a silver appearance that resists tarnishing and scratching. Gentlemen traditionally wear the Crest Badge on the Balmoral or Glengarry. For Ladies the Crest Badge makes a lovely addition to a Tartan Sash. Historical notes and box included. Clan Crest Kilt Pin Each Claymore Style Kilt Pin is hand wrought in old fashioned Pewter and plated with palladium to give a silver appearance that resists tarnishing and scratching. The Kilt Pin is traditional worn on the Kilt's front appron, however it looks great as an accessory on jean jacket or cap. Historical notes and box included. Approximate size 1 3/8" by 3 3/4". $35.00
